The research stems from a shared commitment to analyze the main trends and scenarios that will shape the <strong>Smart City<\/strong> model in urban and rural areas over the coming decades, to identify possible solutions for testing in the laboratory and, subsequently, as pilot projects directly within the Bergamo area.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <strong>Bergamo 2.035<\/strong> program aims to make the most of the region\u2019s economic and industrial heritage, as well as the city\u2019s cultural and social assets, placing future citizens \u2014 the &#8216;<strong>smarter citizens<\/strong>&#8216; \u2014 at the center, as active agents of change for the improvement of the urban environment.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The project has a long-term perspective. During the first two years of activity (2013\u20132014), the program was structured into three main phases:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b><strong>The phases of the research program<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/bergamo2035.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/ScreenHunter_204-Sep.-25-17.28.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1237 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/bergamo2035.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/ScreenHunter_204-Sep.-25-17.28.jpg\" alt=\"ScreenHunter_204 Sep. 25 17.28\" width=\"676\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bergamo2035.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/ScreenHunter_204-Sep.-25-17.28.jpg 676w, https:\/\/www.bergamo2035.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/ScreenHunter_204-Sep.-25-17.28-300x147.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p><ol><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Analysis<\/strong>: sharing the research platform and identifying the main evolutionary trends of urban contexts;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Discussion<\/strong>: meeting with key stakeholders, experts of the territory, and representatives of the various interests and needs of the urban community;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Proposal<\/strong>: development of some project ideas and identification of action plans to be implemented following this initial phase of the research program.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">From this initial phase, in 2014, the study &#8216;<strong>Bergamo 2.035: an idea of the city in a changing world<\/strong>&#8216; was born, envisioning a smart city where technologies and innovative solutions develop together and serve new social models of responsibility and inclusivity. A city where citizens, the &#8216;smarter citizens,&#8217; become active agents of change for the improvement of the urban environment of which they are a part.<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After this initial phase, which highlighted the most significant trends that will affect urban development in the near future, the project then focused on some priority areas of the &#8216;<strong>Bergamo case<\/strong>&#8216;.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During <strong>2015<\/strong>, coinciding with Expo, the research focused on the local food system, introducing the <strong>theme of<\/strong> <strong>Food 2.0<\/strong> for the future smart city.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With the start of the new academic year (<strong>2015\u20132016<\/strong>), Bergamo 2.035 focused on a high-priority topic in contemporary urban contexts: &#8216;<strong>Urban mobility and analysis<\/strong>&#8216;. The project aims to analyze the evolution of people\u2019s mobility and logistics in relation to urban development, focusing on the need to envision new scenarios where new solutions \u2014 not only technological \u2014 can translate into sustainable improvements aligned with the needs of stakeholders and citizens.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In addition to the project areas <b>Bergamo Consum-attore<\/b> and <b>Bergamo Mobile \/ Logistica<\/b>, Bergamo 2.035 also includes four others: <b>Bergamo Creativa<\/b>, <b>Bergamo Salute<\/b>, <b>Bergamo Responsabile<\/b>, and <b>Bergamo Tecnologica<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Research program Bergamo 2. 035 Bergamo 2.035 is an interdisciplinary research project promoted by the University of Bergamo and the Pesenti Foundation, with scientific collaboration from Harvard University and in partnership with the Municipality of Bergamo.
